EAST MEETS WEST

THE HUNDREDS

Pestle & Mortar Clothing (PMC) collaborates with Los Angeles streetwear label The Hundreds for its first international streetwear collaboration. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for PMC, bringing together two brands that share a passion for creativity and cultural storytelling. The capsule collection debuted on October 7, 2017, at Sneakerlah, Malaysia’s premier sneaker and streetwear expo. PMC's booth at Sneakerlah was designed to resemble a typical Malaysian hawker stall, showcasing the brand's roots and heritage. The collaboration features two T-shirt designs, a coaches jacket, and a dad hat, all incorporating a prominent hibiscus flower design—the national flower of Malaysia. This design element pays homage to PMC's Southeast Asian roots and helps raise awareness of Malaysian culture on the international stage. The collection's popularity was evident, with two out of the four items selling out on the first day of the launch. PMC's collaboration with The Hundreds inspires fellow Southeast Asians in the industry and demonstrates the potential to grow beyond regional boundaries. The collaboration pieces are available for purchase at PMC's Bangsar flagship store, Major Drop, and The Hundreds' web-store.
